Wednesday, Wednesday

I flew to Ft. Lauderdale today to spend a few days with my parents before school starts.  It was an amazing flight BUT the time passed so quickly I was only able to get the cover for my lesson plan book created and my lesson plan pages.  I wanted to take a minute before I doze off tonight to share them with you.  I also have completed my Daily Station Rotation Cards which I will share tomorrow.  When I return next week I hope to get into my classroom.  Just a few days left before student registration. That is new this year where the students will come in, find their class assignments and have their pictures taken.  I am interested to see how it goes.  Our Open House is then a week later...two days before school starts.  I hope to have my room somewhat put together for all the "peeking" that will take place by the parents and students.

I have had questions on if I can share these as PP.  If anyone knows please fill me in.  I am happy to email them to people if they let me know.  michele0003@aol.com

Tuesday, Tuesday

Today I was busy getting information for my parents and for the letter we mail out to let the kiddos know they are in our class.  Each teacher does something a little different.  I am including all of these for you to take a peek.  I'd love to hear what all of you do.
I think I shared this with you last year but I wanted to share it again because it always warms my heart.  The 1st Grade could be changed to K or 2 really.  I wish I could remember where I got it because I would love to give them credit.
If you want a copy click here.
Next each year I prepare a handbook for my parents.  It contains all kinds of information.  I think it is helpful especially for first time parents.
Finally I always include a copy of our class schedule.  Check it out.

Monday, Monday

Hi all,
So today I told myself let's get busy with items for the classroom...and I did.  My theme is a polka dot look so I want to share with  any of you who are polka dot "fans" name tags or locker signs for your classroom as well as some other items of interest.

I also give my students numbers to use on their cubbies and work items.
These are what I plan on using.
thank you Nikki!!!

Here is a picture of my list and a sample of my name tags. I always make extra and leave extra space because within the next few weeks before school I will most likely get 3 to 4 new students.  YIKES!!
I'll never forget the days before computers when I had to redo the entire thing!  The dreaded typewriter cannot compete with technology.  LOL

To complete my math "freebies" this week I have a fall themed one for you.
Hope you will enjoy it.
Monday I will begin with a BACK TO SCHOOL THEME!
Hope you will stop by!  Michele

The countdown begins!!

Hi all...I have been busy revising and creating for the upcoming school year.  It is time for me to get back to all of you and share what I have been coming up with. So from now until the start of school Monday to Thursday I am planning to post a suggested packet and a "freebie".  Soon as I can get in my classroom I will get pictures for you. So let's begin.
Today I want to share a MUST for the start of the year.  Finding out about student interests is key at the beginning of the year so use this little freebie mini interactive book as an interest inventory.  Use all the pages or just a few or do a few at a time and complete the book over a period of time.  Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Cute find...

Walking through the store to day and this book jumped out at me.
Read it and can't wait to build a packet with it. Did anyone else use to read Amelia Bedelia?
