I think this story is perfect for talking about seasons, friends, and making connections text to self.
The packet starts with delightful vocabulary to post.
I then focus on identifying the 4 seasons and using text from the story to provide evidence. It is so important that students are able to reread and find specifics in what they read.
For this reason there is NOTHING wrong with reading a story more than once!
The packet then moves to opinion writing. There are two different forms to use to collect ideas before the students create a final copy for the class book!
And as you know I am a true believer in building vocabulary and making connections so here you will see two activities.
